House of Revolution x Belonging?
Acclaimed inclusive variety shows, House of Revolution will be merging with the successful stand up comedy series Belonging? to finish out the 2025-26 season in Kjallarinn.
House of Revolution has shone a spotlight on artists from marginalized backgrounds in Iceland for 3 seasons in Þjóðleikhúskjallarinn. Produced by artist-activist collective R.E.C Arts Reykjavík and nominated for a Gríman Award in 2024, their mission to create space to nurture and cultivate those artists have been a major success and disruptor in the arts scene.
Dan Roh, an active member of the R.E.C Arts collective and frequent featured performer in House of Revolution, is a Korean-American stand-up comedian and storyteller and the creator and host of the acclaimed Belonging? stand-up comedy series. Featuring immigrant comedians storytelling about their lives in Iceland, Belonging? has sold out Tjarnarbíó and filled Salurinn three times. The show concept was born in the fertile ground of R.E.C Arts Rvk and nearly every performer in Belonging? has been a member of the R.E.C Arts collective.
For the remaining two House of Revolution shows this season, Dan Roh will be hosting and bringing Belonging? to Þjóðleikhúskjallarinn- this time featuring comedians of all marginalized backgrounds who live in Iceland!
Each show will also feature some music or dance acts from favorite past House of Revolution performers!
No show is the same, but each show will touch your hearts and minds, instilling a community where everyone matters.
Accessibility:
Shows are primarily in English, with other languages spoken as well. All shows are interpreted in Icelandic Sign Language, and with accessibility for all.
Tickets are on a sliding scale for financial accessibility. (We offer “pay what you can” tickets at the door).

Listamanna- og aktavistahópurinn R.E.C. Arts Reykjavík kynnir annan vetur af „House of Revolution“, í samvinnu við Þjóðleikhús Íslands. Þessar „gjörningaveislur“ sýna gnægð fjölbreyttra atvinnulistafólks sem búa á Íslandi. Komdu og njóttu sannkallaðs menningakokteils sem endurspeglar hina ótal mörgu, fögru óséðu króka og kima íslensks samfélags. Upplifðu einstakan og fjölbreyttan listflutning, þar á meðal má nefna: lifandi tónlist, uppistand, dragsýningar, söngleik, slam-ljóð, danshópa, burlesque, spuna, söguflutning og fleira og fleira; allt er þetta flutt af listfólki af jaðarhópum og samfélögum. Það er engin sýning eins en hver sýning snertir hug og hjörtu, innleiðir samfélag þar sem öll skipta máli. Sýningarnar enda alltaf með danspartý þar sem dj eða hljómsveit mun trylla taktinn. Hlökkum til að sjá þig! Allar sýningar eru túlkaðar á íslensku táknmáli, og með aðgengi fyrir öll. House of Revolution fékk Grímutilnefningu árið 2024 “Hvatningarverðlaun valnefndar fyrir framúrskarandi nýbreytni í sviðslistum.”
